A game which promises so much but delivers so little. Hope I'm wrong.

hard match to forsee, I think it will end 2 - 1 but I can't say who will win, it'll probably be one of thoose matches where coincidence will be the final factor that settles it...

3-1 with Italy taking the win. 2 goals from Vieri, one from one of the mid-fielders. Henrik or Zlatan will score for Sweden. Although I say this now and in my mind that is what I expect it always happens that Italy plays poorly never scores many goals and plays too defense minded.

Of course Italy will win.

They can play very good when they want (and need) to. Think that they have woke up now after the first match. They know they better win this match to qualify and they know Sweden won 5-0 first match and that they will play without Totti. think that will be enough for them to pull themselves together. Sweden had a too easy first match. Depends a lot on the Swedish coaches, if they can get the players to really realise that the Italian defence wont give away one-to-none chances and that they were lucky getting every (almost) conclusion in goal. If they can forget the first match and start over from zero.

But then again, if Italy plays its best then it doesn't matter how Sweden plays.

AND:
For Sweden this match is rather uninportant. Italy will qualify in one way or another and the other team will be decided in the last match Sweden-Denmark.

I worry about italian mentallity sometimes and this match tonight will be a huge test of that mentallity. If gattuso and pirlo play in the midfield and they unleash cassano (and he plays well) then I can see it being a fantastic game with an italy win, but if they insist on playing with del piero up front and camoronesi and zanetti then we will loose and loose badly.

they also need to play ferrari at right back in place of pannuci.

i was hoping a lot of italy but dunno what to say after that first game. sweden looks like one of the strongest teams in the tournament, especially in the attack. italy has a chance on the counter-attack.
