hey...
I only went to the show. No expectations, no previous experience. I was very impressed with the energy of the place. I did recognize some trance tunes pounding through, but then again I wasn't in the mood to get very epic or anything. He was pounding it out the entire night. Ok, so it was Motor, and it closed at 2:30, but I can't complain. peas.

Hmmm I have mixed feelings about icey. I saw him at a party up in NY and he was tearing the place apart. Then I saw him about a month or two later in Pittsburgh, and his set was almost entirely the same which pissed me off. I love his cd Icey - Mixed, but as Swamper said essential mix is pretty crappy with the exception of Kay Cee and Agnelli&Nelson which are decent breaks remixes. I dunno, I would pay to see him at a party but I wouldn't expect much.
Going back to the original question though I'm afraid there just aren't that many decent breakz sites, I've tried looking. Heh stick with trance it's better

Speaking of breaks, There are some good breakbeat tracks with a lot of trance influence out there.

Well don't leave me hanging... I've listened to some breakbeat and I like it. But I don't know what I'm looking for could someone throw out some names?

Ok ... Icey, huda hudia, baby anne, tony faline, and sharaz to name a few. I myself prefer funky electro breakz or trance breaks (you can make anything good with trance) which icey usually spins. Like I said check out icey - mixed. The first few tracks off of that cd are really good.

I have a major hunger for d'n'b and jungle. Not that Ive lost my interest in trance music or anything. A good site to visit with lots of info on rising local and international talents would be "http://drumandbass.cc" (mp3s for your listening pleasure=)). Dark jungle and tech-step dnb is awsome!! Might be too much to handle for some of you. I do battles on the dancefloor whereever they're played. If you're looking for a jungle CD for the first time, check out DJ Dara, AK1200, Aphrodite, Krust, any Renegade Hardware or Trouble On Vinyl DJ, and ..theres just so much more. Technical Itch is nice too. For those who enjoy chill out atmospheric dnb I can only think of one: LTJ Bukem. Roni Size = dnb w/ a hip-hop attitude.
