there seems to be a lot of Qs reguarding latency problems with Creative cards (audigy imperticular) here is a solution... GET A NEW CARD.. Creative cards are absolutly horrible for production.. (I know from experience)

you're going to get that latency no matter what VSTis you use. If it's lagging, it's becuase your CPU can't handle it or the ASIO drivers on your card suck..

if your talking about creative soundblaster, then uhm, i can't find anything wrong with that.

but then again, the sound quality could .... today i installed emu1212 card in my pc, and i could swear the sound quality improved. the bass was better defined, the highs were nicer, with more air .....
that was something i wasn't expecting at all. oh yeah, and i forgot ... i owned an audigy 1 bulk card before.

Well yeah, I noticed that too from going from SB Live to Audigy 2 too, but I'm not that much of an audiophile... I was also on a tight budget when building this PC so it was an obvious choice for me. But as long as everything goes smoothly I see no reason to change

Well, neither am I. And the difference is surely greater for me than it was for you, I switched from Creative to Emu, you switched from Creative (with Emu10k1 chip) to Creative (with Emu10k2 chip) which is not all that different.
And you got your point there - as long as you are satisfied, that's it. Nothing else counts. But there are better solutions
