This is as good a place as any to ask you all what 'dub' means. Is it just the "instrumental" version of the song?

a dub refers to a track that has had its vocal track tweaked and/or removed, thus leaving only the instrumental layers.

a dub is actually the removal of some of the higher frequency(ies) in a track, which nine times out of ten is the vocal. the word dub came from the word dub plate which were basically test pressings used to test thefrequency ranges in tracks etc. anyway...

yeah £5 is a minimum order.

Gawd, this must have been said about a million times but here goes....

WMA is used because of the digital rights management. That is the only reason. The quality of the WMA file is equal to that of a 320kbps MP3, however its in the WMA format so Anjunabeats have at least some control over the thing so it isn't distributed that easily (of course those with a good mind about comp's can get round it).

The mac use is actually infact Apples fault. The guys at Anjunabeats are heavy Mac users and are looking into ways of getting the service onto the Macs. However Apple wont give the rights of the licensing technology to 3rd party firms, only their ITunes has the ability so im told.

That clears up that point

I knew about all of the benefits...just pointed out the negatives... and when you have millions of people out there buying MP3 players they really couldn't give two craps about WMA files, that's all. I understand the digital rights management and the higher kbps but the average user really will NOT care about that... that's all. And from a business aspect it's stupid. But it's been done and will have to be dealt with. I think you can see why iTunes has done so well though.
