Best Speakers

I am looking to purchase a nice set of speakers for an average size club.
I would love to buy a set of JBL self amped, but they cost from 600-700 and right now I cant afford that. What speakers would you guys recommend for around $500-$600 usd?

Community MVP36 Two-Way Trapezoidal Loudspeaker with 90 X 40deg HF Horn.

The MVP36 is a rugged, high-efficiency, two-way, full-range loudspeaker system. The system utilizes one LM20™ high-frequency driver coupled to a Pattern Control horn and one 15" cast frame woofer for high efficiency and excellent power handling capability. These components are matched to an optimally tuned direct radiating bass-reflex enclosure. The recessed handles, black carpeted exterior and injection molded corners also make this system attractive and rugged. The MVP36 offers a robust internal crossover with Thermal Link™ Dynamic HF Driver Protection. The crossover is built to last with high quality inductors, precision wound coils and military grade circuit boards. The proprietary Thermal Link Dynamic HF Driver Protection circuit provides both over-current and thermal protection for added performance and reliability. Designed as a stand-alone full-range loudspeaker system, the MVP36 offers enough bass for most applications. For more demanding applications, extended bass can be achieved by adding a MVP subwoofer. Mounting is easily accomplished utilizing the threaded inserts provided and optional mounting kits. This product should never be suspended by its handles.

I'm a fan of JBL, they make some wicked speakers, I would recommend them if you wanna spend that much, but if you want to spend abit more, I say you go for Turbosound, they are insane speakers, sound is so sweet on them.

"cough" "cough", Turbosound Speakers aren't exactly "a bit more" than JBL, even entry level Turbosound 15" full range speaker like the TQ-315 is $2078.00 USD EACH.

On the other hand, don't let the words "entry level" turbosound fool you, they will still kick JBLs ass, even JBL's SR-X series.

Cheers...

What about the Turbosound TXD-121, yea there only 12" speakers, but they are only about $950 CDN each, that ain't bad, wouldn't be able to use them for pounding a club to death, but would be good none the less.

Can't really say anything about those "cheapies" turbosounds, other than TXD series is made exclusively for Guitar Center Stores and their affiliate website musiciansfriend dot com. I seriously doubt txd line is even made at the actual turbosound facility in Europe.
who knows, they might be somewhat decent sounding, but if you are serious about sound, you start off with TQ, aka QLight series for 15" 2ways and bigger or the TCS series for the 12" 2way.

I'd compare JBL JRX112m to the Turbosound TXD-121, but still almost double the price.

Cheers...
