Why vocal trance songs tend almost always to be sad?

... I mean there are not enough happy, euphoric (female) vocal trance songs which you can listen to in car when you are in good mood. For example 2 vocal trance songs which everybody knows: Motorcycle - ATRC or Andain - Beautiful Things.. I mean it's not bad that they are a bit sad/melancholy but I noticed recently when I wanted to record a CD for car that it isn't easy to record a cd which don't contain any sad songs. i think there should be more euphoric vocal trance songs.

Maybe because 'happy' vocals tend to be übercheesy? I dunno.

Really? I always felt there was a real lack of sad vocals.

don't think so because there are enough examples that it needn't to be "übercheesy", for example: Flash Brothers - Amen .. why can't more songs be like this?

Those vocals aren't really 'happy' though

Try Matt Darey feat. Marcella Woods - Voice Of An Angel (Full Vocal). Solid Sessions - Janeiro (Armin van Buuren Remix) has pretty euphoric vocals as well.

That's not the point. I'm searching for songs which have this special feeling, which shouldn't be sad.. the vocals are less important because a song consists many other elements between the vocals which forms then the complete track.

Well... listen to happy lyrics by Lasgo, if you must...

"I can see it in your eyes
There's something
Something you have for me"

or listen to any of the tunes on 4 String album.

Besides... sad lyrics are made to induce desire for holding... and holding is good on E. And people remember holding and kissing a total stranger that just needed a hug during a sad moment in a song at a rave. And they will remember the tune... and they might even buy it...

C'mon - what's sadder than "Smack my bitch up"? or "I did it all for the nookie"?
