Exclamation Can you have an Audiophile alongside an Audigy in 1 PC?! No conflicts?!..

Hi,

I was wondering if you can install an Audiophile souncard alongside an Audigy 2 in the same PC. Doesn't that give any conflicts? Anything I should pay attention to when installing both cards in 1 PC. I use WinXP by the way.

Also, how do you connect them both best to your monitors. Is it best to connect the digital out of the Audigy to the digital in of the Audiophile (or using the analog outputs/inputs on both perhaps giving better results) or how do you do it best? What about this?

I could ofcourse also simply replace the Audigy with the Audiophile, but then I need to know how well (compared to the Audigy) the Audiophile plays..

1/ DivX avi movies (doesn't the Audigy has the advantage there, could you have loss in framerates with the Audiophile compared to Audigy?)

2/ sport games like FIFA/NBA 2004? Anyone plays those with an Audiophile? How does it compare to playing those particular games with an Audigy?! Isn't it so that you will loose framerates compared to the Audigy, because only the Audigy support all those games standards (EAX, etc..) or doesn't it matter for sport games like those from EASports (those are the only games I like to play, but I like to play them well , so want to know if the Audiophile will give me loss in framerates or any other problems like sounds played incorrectly compared to Audigy). Anyone can tell me more about this so I know what to expect!!

Thanks for all good info!!

PS: don't forget to mention which cards exactly you have installed and which OS you use. Thanks!

Cheers, Mike.

I'm using a hammerfall DIGI9652 and a SB live 5.1 on win XP pro, works like a charm

but I'm not connecting them together in any way.

and it should be possible to have em both in the same computer as long as they don't share the same IRQ (that can cause some major problems)

do a search on google for more info on IRQ's and how you deal with 'em
