Question Blake Sutherland - Propeller [full 128] - been awhile!

Hey folks,

Well, this one I finished awhile ago but for some reason I lost my TA cookie and I had to make a new account! For anyone that cares or knows, I used to be -blake- on here.

Anyway, there's a lot I probably could have added to this track (more background FX or something) ..but I had been working on it too long and just felt like finishing it

As always, comments from you guys are welcome, appreciated, and ever so helpful.

Thanks..

Blake Sutherland - Propeller

..by the way, it's trance with a progressive-ish influence.

The kicks seem to be made in FL...sounds very like those at least. I don't like them in either way. Good bassline, but nothing to be excited about.
Intro sounds ok, not great though. Is the sound a bit low? maybe make it higher so you can get a taste of it

Very calm so far, nothing wrong with the sound so far, very good. The synths might need a little eqing, but just a little ok?
It starts to get better around the last 2 min. Refreshing kind of.
Claps doesn't fit perfectly, kicks actually fits well here imo, but when the kicks become more obvious it sounds worse again.

Maybe work some more on it? It sounds very good so far except for some minor things. Keep it up! You can never work too long on a good track imo

Thanks man
Don't know about the FL kick, cuz I've never used that program..but I know that kick needs to be changed (except it DOES work in some parts, eh?) And you're right about the EQing on the synths - it's just too bad I'm not great with that technical end of it yet.

And with more work it probably could be better - but I lost the drive with it..so it's probably going on the back burner..for awhile anyway.

Thanks again. I'll keep this stuff in mind for my new tune..and this one of course if I start working on it again.

for some reason the kick starts weird but gets nice later when everything is playing.

bassline is ok, needs another layer to tough it up.

you need a way better hihat man, those are raelly needed for drive.

Synths aint that bad, they need some work, but i do like the way they sound, also the riffs compostion is really nice, summerish .

you building down to the break i heard a few fx, try to delay them with panning effect.

break wasn't that special add a nice pad or something..

the main lead needs some nice chord changes imo, also the synth could use a bit of more reverb and delay

all in all, the tune sounds not bad imo, has n nice feel, but really needs more work to get it sound at a decent level.

good luck.
