FL Studio as VSTi within Cubase SX 2 Question

Now I know this may seem super basic but I just am now exploring FL Studio so its all new to me. I use Cubase SX as my main sequencer and FL Studio runs fine once I add it as a VSTi however something has me confused.

Lets say I start play at the very beginning of my Cubase track. FL begins to play but at bar 10 instead of bar 1. So lets say I have a loop I made in FL, I have to stick it 10 bars ahead if I want it to play at the correct time with my Cubase data. So my track in Cubase loops for 8 bars, starting at measure 1. Even though the markers are at the same place for both programs, bar 1, the second I hit play, the marker in FL jumps to bar 10 while the bar in Cubase remains where it should be.

The little FL Studio VSTi applet that appears within Cubase once you add FL Studio has a Time Offset Quarters setting which I believe is the answer to my question but I've read the manual for tips and messed around with various levels and I cannot get my FL data to play in the same bar as the Cubase data.

I'm sure this is some simple setting or something I'm missing. Thanks in advance!
