Adobe Premiere is good and easy to learn.

Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, either of those will do...

depending on how long the dv is it could use a lot of diskpace

i think its something like 1min of dv = 1gig storage.

31 mins of vid == 6.3 gigs uncompressed
i was afraid that premiere was the answer
