Headshell ???

Ok I just receive my first turn table ever hehe and I was wondering if the headshell is suppose to twist when it fix to the tone arm.

I fixed my cartrige on it and plug the small wire the the wire to the headshell to goes in the tone arm. I screw it so it get in place but the head shell seam to twist a little and I was wondering if that was normal.

I have a Technic SL-1210 MK 2

Thanks !

Not sure, I have a technics headshell and it doesn't twist at all...I only twist the end of the tone arm when I attach and dettach the headshell.

There I made a small picture

The part circle in black is like twisting but only like a bit on each side like th arrow is showing.

It doesn't sping completely and the part fix in the tone arm is not moving it only the black thing with Stanton written on it.

I just walked over and looked at mine, they don't move at all. Did you tighten the ring on the tonearm ? You can see it in the very top of your picture.

do you have a rubber o-ring on your headshell's mount? if not it will either allow your headshell to be over tightened and damage the contacts, or it may cause the headshell to rock side by side.

Yes the tone arm is twist.

The probleme is like where the wires are connected there is like a small peace of plastique there that seam to be missing or it not enough big.

I found an old turn table in my basement and I took the headshell from it and it not moving at all on my turn table. I'll probably take this one instead even if the stanton one was nicer :P
