Wink kind gesture from PVD...

Hopefully more people in the industry will fallow in his steps...

Paul van Dyk will be donating 50% of his profits of his upcoming Ministry of Sound mix CD "Politics of Dancing" to the American Red Cross & the NYC Police & Fire Widows & Childrens Benefit Fund. He is also asking that we add on $1 to the door price of his upcoming show to send to the charities below. Paul has asked every promoter on the tour to do the same.

Satellite Records Atlanta has agreed to donate their service charge for this event and i'm still waiting to confirm this with Rewind records Atlanta. We are in the process of getting ahold of the out of town stores regarding this as well.

Producer Artist Management is also donating a portion of their commissions for all bookings.

We will also have a donation jar set up for additional donations at all of our events and liquified will also be doing a personal donation.

The actual cost of tickets on the door will now be $26.

Thank you for your cooperation.

PvD has friends missing in the disaster area... so he didnt turn up for his 6 hour set @ GC last weekend... Gatecrasher donated PvD's fee for 6 hours, and replaced him with residents.. all DJ fee's and money from tickets were donated to the new york firefighter's memorial fund

Ah...gotta love PvD. Awesome DJ and a compassionate, loving person. 50% of the profits! What other artists would you see donating 50% of their profits? Not many.

God bless Paul and all the victims of September 11th's tragedy

This is a very good decision by Paul. He is not a very talented DJ and producer, but also a very nice person...
I know that he is still missinf friends in NY, my friends are still in the hospital. in this situation we all are just people...

Thumbs up

Ever noticed that in tragedy, the best comes out of people. I wish the tragedy had not happened but someone once said that out of everything bad that happens some good comes from it. Paul Van Dyk has been my hero for years, i own all his albums and some of his mixes. It takes courage for a man like that to do something like that, i just wish more ppl would follow. It shows that he could care less about the money and that he cares more about people then deejaying and shit. PVD, you have just added to the list of reasons of why i think you are the greatest deejay in the world.

The ticket cost me $32 not to mention the cost of the 200 mile drive from Dallas to Houston. I don't mean to be insensitive. I was raised in New York and still consider myself sort of a New Yorker but there's other ways to help the New Yorkers besides throwing my hard-earned money at 'em.
Well over a $100,000,000 has been raised...is there really still a dire need for more?
