Software midi merger

Does anyone know of a software midi merger? I know hardware ones exists, but I'd rather have a software one if possible. What I'm trying
to do is merge the note messages from my keyboard with controller messages from my Novation Nova. It's a pain in the ass having to change midi inputs in my sequencers all the time!

basically you want to control the same midi channel from 2 different sources instantly...

I dunno abt the software ones but I dont think hardware merger's are expensive? The way I see it it should be a tiny black box with 2 inputs and 1 output -> simple

i was in a similar situation some moths ago.
i have 2 soundcards installed, each midiport is used by a keyboard. but fruityloops let me use just one card as midi-input. here's a way to solve this problem:

1) install MidiYoke/MidiYokeNT. it's a virtual midi patch-cable. you can get it HERE. check the installation instructions
2) install Midi-OX. get it HERE.
3) start Midi-OX and go to Options -> Midi Devices
4) on the upper list choose your used midi-inputs
5) on the lower list choose 'MidiYoke 1' as your output
6) LEAVE MIDI-OX RUNNING!
7) start your sequencer, and choose 'MidiYoke 1' as your midi remote control input

that's it!
