M2V -> MPEG Question????

i have written Elecard about my problem with their program that enables us to watch M2V videos that we sometimes get from TA and they NEVER responded after 4 times of me trying..

My problem (once again) is this...i need Elecard to watch M2V videos right...but then when i watch other "regular" videos like MPEGS or AVIs i get an annoying high pitch noise when watching the video...so basically i have to uninstall Elecard EVERYTIME i wanna watch a regular video and then reinstall it when i wanna watch a M2V video...and its VERY annoying...

i have looked for another player that lets me watch M2V videos but cant find one...i would like to watch my M2V and other videos (MPEG and AVI) in Windows Media Player without this annoying noise...also the audio is not at the same speed as the video....so a person singing is ahead of the videos by like 2 seconds and it looks like crap....

so my question is.....can i convert M2V videos to MPEG videos..i think if i do the problems will go away since i wont need Elecard anymore....or if someone know a program that lets me watch M2V and MPEG in Windows Media Player 7 with out the above problems...please let me know....i am getting frustrated

thanks

you could try to install PowerDVD, it installs a codec which allows windows media player to play m2vs... don't know if this solves your specific problem though

What you need is a program called TMPGEnc
(you can get it by clicking here

This program allows you to input a multimedia file and convert it over to a mpeg-2 file. Brace yourself for the time it takez to convert them tho.

For more help on this matter (and for converting/editing any type of multimedia file to a Mpeg-2 format) click here

Hope this helps

Either convert the video as mentioned above...or find a different player...
I suggest using a different player cuz it's not practical to convert a video every time you want to see it....
Search for a program that can support DVD or M2V...or use WIN DVD...or Intervideo WIN DVD....
