Someone please settle this for me.
Why are moths attracted to light? In the day time you hardly ever see a moth flying about, then when its dark and you have a tiny light on you get surrounded by moths.
Also how come if you have a fire at night you never see moths, they allways go for artificial light.

because the smoke from the fire repels them. i'm not a moth expert or anything, but i wouldn't be surprised if they were nocturnal

moths think lights are the moon because its there natural instinct to follow the moon..so they sit around your lights flying around and pissin people off

no but seriously...i think its the smoke producer by the fire that repels the moths from it...otherwise they might fly into that shit. they fly into this halogen lamp i've got and then they start to sizzle and pop and its smells fucking horrible!

it smells like burning dust when you have a stove and you dont turn on one of the burners for a while and dust collects and you finally turn it on and it smells like shit
