Efi began listening to trance music back in 1998, when the progressive trance musical style was just breaking into the market.
He began practicing as an amateur DJ at his friends' parties, while continuing to develop his mixing skills and musical preferences.
In the year 2000 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, he was one of the finalists in a national amateur DJ contest in Tel-Aviv, Israel in front of 2000 people.
After winning the contest, Efi dropped his DJing career, and spent the majority of his time intensively learning music production in order to express his creativity.
Shortly thereafter, as a new producer, he began working with major Israeli producers like: Shmuel Flash (Flash Brothers, Shmoo, Deep Amok) on Agnosia Records label. Roi Tochner (Atocha) on Selfish Records label.
These tracks have been heavily rotated by well-known DJs in the Israeli dance music scene.
Riding on the wave of the big progressive trance come-back in 2003, Efi decided to collaborate with his talented friend and fellow producer, Daniel Zehavi, and together they created their production and remixing team called Inner and Outer.

Daniel has been fascinated with music since he was a young child, and he began working on electronic music production when he was only 12.
At the tender young age of 5, Daniel immersed himself in music, would listen to alternative 80's/early 90's dance music during all of his spare moments.
By age 8, he was already learning to play the piano.
At the age of 16 he spent all of his savings on professional equipment and started creating more serious productions.
It was during this time that he began to DJ in small Israeli clubs and parties.
At the age of 18, Daniel decided to move to Tel-Aviv to expand his connections in the music industry.
He met and teamed with Efi Rand to start working on new projects under the name Inner & Outer.
Inner and Outer are presently working at their own studio on numerous original productions and remixes of some of the hottest talent in the dance music scene and preparing for the numerous upcoming spinning gigs.
