HOW CAN WE GET........
djs like Matt Darey, Misja Helsloot, Talla 2xlc, Guy Ornadel, Johan Gielen, Cor Finjemen, Scot Project, Blank & Jones(they might be coming), Scott Bond, Lange, and others to come over to the states, esp Miami, more often? the only time you ever see these guys is at ultra and every once and awhile they will come to glow and canada, but thats it. now i know they dont have huge followings here like oakie and pvd do, but i would have to think with some good pr people would show up. maybe im wrong, but these guys throw down some serious tunes and it would be nice to see djs like them instead of all the big shots all the time, not that im complaining, but it would be a nice change of pace. just thought i would throw in a different thread, this forum is getting overladen with "hype" and the same redundant threads, give me your thoughts on how it might be possible to get these guys over here more often, i mean, i dont think you have to twist a djs arm to come to sunny miami?! a month ago in orlando some of us ta's saw matt graham(who flew all the way down from toronto) at HOB and it was just a real nice set, heard some DIFFERENT tunes and i walked away real impressed. and i bet if any of the guys i mentioned above came it would be the same way.

I couldn't agree more, Neil. Nice list you made there. I especially would like to see Lange, Blank & Jones, and Scott Bond. You need to start with talking to venues. People should contact the DJ's and their booking agents as well. You have to remember though that not all of the DJ's are big names so it costs a lot of money to bring them here and if they aren't well known there won't be a huge turn out. A lot of clubs/promoters won't fork out the cash if they don't see a profit. That's why I wish I was rich and owned my own club. I would bring artists here just for the entertainment value...not for the profit.
BTW...That wasn't Max's first time here. He's visited before. It was an impressive set because he's an impressive guy!

some nice responses. i think that alot of these could come over and play at some of the smaller venues and everyone makes out, i dont think mega clubs like space would work, but clubs like crobar or even nerve lounge would do. but hopefully ryan and i will start meeting more people in the club scene and promotion scene down here and maybe make something happen one day. nice to hear matt darey is coming with MOS, ive always been a huge fan, the guy is one FOCK of a producer too some great productions of late, Point Zero, great track and his past productions are suberb also. maybe if arturo and some of you others with GDJB can get markus to hype some of this stuff on the radio, we could get a good turnout, just an idea.
