Ok i just got a new puppy, It jumped up onto my desk and knocked over a glass of water, a small amout of the water dripped directly into the pitch slide. The pitch control was working fine for a couple days but it just went catostrophic. Does anyone know what parts might have to be replace, or is the deck a write off? Has anyone else had a problem like this?

I would try to air out the turntable for a couple of days and be sure not to use it at all. When some electrical devices get wet, it doesn't always mean death. Use while wet may cause death of components.
The pitch fader and/or pcb may have been damaged, i would first try to use something like detoxit on the fader to see if that helps.

Ya i let it air out for a couple days. Like i said it WAS working so i thought i dodged a bullet, but then tonight at a gig of all places it just went nuts. Like i move the pitch and it just shoots around randomly in speed.

All you have to do is replace the pitch adjust. I think someone said earlier you can pick one up at planetxusa.com. The circuit board is probably fried on it. Don't worry though because it is a complete seperate component from anything else. You shouldn't have turned it on after you got it wet. My friend owns a Jeep and It has rained inside that bitch so many times. I would take out the head unit (before he turned it on), took it apart, put a hairdryer to it, and 1 hour later, it works perfectly. Something can't shortcircuit without electricity being run through it.

First punt the puppy over a fence. Now that you're satisfied, if airing it out didn't do the trick you'll probably just have to replace the pitch control.
