I would say each track takes me about 15-30 hours in total to make. I would never be satisfied with a track that took me less than 10 hours to make. Taking time to craft out your music is the key to a good track in my opinion.

^ That sums it up ^

My opinion...i spent in total 2 months on this track, possibly more(no more then 40 hrs actual focus time)...because of course i have a life as do we all and need to concentrate on other shit as well..bills/relations/etc.

I spend far too long on my music, then I get to a point where I feel I just have to get it finished because I'm getting so sick of the tune...

From the tunes I've made so far - Average Time = 1 to 3 months.

so far ... 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 days. Since I work fulltime that's just evenings + weekends.

I'd really like to learn mAd production skills down so I can more quickly make tunes ... that way I won't be completely bored of them by the time they are finished.

If it takes over 2 weeks for me I usually abandon it since it's not really going anywhere.

I've managed to do stuff in just a couple of hours but that's usually more of a case of sheer luck than anything else. It takes about a week normally.

Don't know really, whatever I start producing isn't based on luck, it's based on a composition I did for classical piano in my free time, and I really don't know how many hours that took me, I play whenever I have the time, if I didn't have to sleep, I think in the morning my fingers would be broke or something The production itself is done in one long day, but then I go out mastering, and that could take me a couple of days to get exactly what I want. If it takes me longer then a week to get the tune, I leave it, and get back to it after a couple of months with a fresh mind.

a week has not much meaning mr mystery as you could consider that as 7x 24 h or 7x 8 h or 5x 8h or ...
I'd say for me it takes about 2-6 hours to create the basics (4-8 or 16 bar loop with most elements) then as much time creating build up and some fx. 2 hours of mixing and 1 hour of recording/mastering.
The rule with my tracks mostly is, the less time I've spent on the basic loop, the better it sounds (I'm an impulsive producer ). Anything above 6-7 hours sounds forced and needs to be reworked or deleted.

Well duh, of course you exclude work, sleep etc from that.
I'd say 2-4 hours every day.
