YOUR 5 FAVE LIVESETS of 04' thus far..

hey guys thought i would post another relatively fun thread, forum seems alittle boring right now, list your 5 favorite sets of the year, that you were at, if you want post a brief reason why, or something relative...have fun!!!

my favoites:

1. Tiesto- SPACE Majik Muzik Nite 3-7-04- you guys knew this was coming! what can i say insane energy, best track selection ever, . how anyone who says they are a fan of trance that can argue the genious and epicness of that set and nite is out of their minds and lying to themselves, it was something special, i doubt i ever witness a set like that ever again, but i hope i do..simply MAJIK
2. Ferry Corsten-Space 5-1-04 Great all around set by ferry, lots of female vocals, great vibe, nice hi's and lo's, a journey what trance is all about. ferry hasnt let me down yet, always solid .
3. Tiesto- Icon, orlando 6-23-04 After mediorce space set, tiesto rebounds with energetic dance friendly set including prog, trance, and even breaks thrown in, great time with friends like fellow ta's, trancebrat, breakin beats, vero, etc.
4. Markus Schulz- Space 6-18-04 Opened for tiesto, but owned the nite, very trancy and smooth, reminded me of old tiesto. great track selection. his sound is evolving nicely
5. Max Graham- HOB, Orlando july 04 This set totally took me for surprise. very eclectic mix of all edm genres, wonderfully mixed. FUN with bro, rach, and trancebrat.

honorable mention: Johan Geilen-Ultra, Ferry-1-3-04,Sander Terrace sets. PVD- WMC, Space, Ultra Edgar V- Crobar 7-30-04

Sasha @ Avalon New Years Eve 2004 - was one of the most amazing nights of my life. Avalon was decked the fuck out that night, sick system (they had the system fine tuned that night and sasha was using the rotary mixer also) sick vibe, and most of all.....sick music. Sasha was 100% that night. 8 hours of non stop madness. Still prob the best set ive heard this year so far.

PVD @ SummerStage & Spirit - I can't even explain....most insane night Ive prob ever had PERIOD!!! The rain, the lazers, the people I was with, and PVD!!! WOW....I still till this day replay that day in my head. I guess you had to be there to understand.

Tiesto @ Space WMC - Well most of you were there and know what im talking about. Tiesto at his prime. Point made.

Armin Van Buuren @ The Dream Loft 4th of July - One of the best live sets from Armin ever. Filled with pure classics and a fine mix of newer shit. The TA turn out was awesome....everybody came out that night and it was just great to see everybody.

Marco V @ Ultra Spin Toronto - Marco always brings it down in Toronto. Awesome night......the whole trip up was great. Plus its always a time to not forget @ Guvernment.

Honorable mention......Filo & Peri @ Sound Emporium Toronto - What can I say??? This was their first gig ever and I was there Dom and Bo are great guys and they are sooo talented when it comes to music. Can't wait to see them again.

1) Magik Muzik therapy by Tijs Verwest, 03/08/2004. So many different people, all tuned in at 140 bpm... amazing. Damn, I just got goosebumps. The drop of the night was Relooped into Lethal Industry into Tribal Shock. Unfortunately, this set was too good, wasn't the same in June.

2) Ferry Corsten @ Space34, 01/04/2004. Perfect set, we rocked the speaker boxes all night. Remember when he dropped Force of Gravity? That man is so cool on the decks... He takes the throne for best DJ. I'm sorry, but if you're not jamming on the decks, and connecting with the crowd, I'd rather listen to you at home. May 1st @ Space34, Ferry was jamming it out even co-razier than in Jan, but I had to leave at 4:20 , so I can't vote on it. It's all good though, he'll be back.

3) Markus Schulz afterhours at the 34... after that dude Tiësto spun. Markus owns Space, sorry Luis. Unbelievable set, great memories, including Holden-Nothing and "magnetic" Pat flying into the wall. This set owned, but his July 5th set at NV was definitive Markus. Wow, Schulz definitely is the remix master.

4) Junkie X.L. @ Nerve, April 16th. "Dirty Sticky Floors..." Tom is such a gifted musician, it was incredible watching him make music on that little stage with 3 pieces of sound equipment. JXL owns for stage prescence, singing and dancing and high 5's during his set. That man knows how to throw a birthday party .

5) Paul van Dyk @ Peacock park, 07/04/2004. New set, crazy bass drops, mixed Traffic into Crush into Wir Sind Wir, sick. Dropped Cosmic Gate-Bilingual ... , WICKED. Way to go Paul.

your right dr dave, after majik muzik nite, everything will be a let down, he set the bar too high, even for himself, i bet tic2 is the only thing soon that will top it, and i wont be there. damn!! but i will have to argue with you on the schulz remix master thing(people in ta are going to HATE me for this) his remixes are usually way too drawn out(redeye eluded to this once, i give him credit), the buildup way to long, and it doesnt really climax, just kinda flatlines, at least with "as the rush comes" and "satelite". i do like his own coldharbour productions tho, remixes not really, tiesto is still the master of the remix. but nice sets.. KEEP EM COMING PEOPLE!!!

I only have 2 that I can put up that were so memorable. They both are equal in greatness.

1. Tiesto @ Space 3/7/04. Most energetic set I have ever heard, then you have the fucking fog machine making it the temperature dairy cooler and to where visibility drops to .01mm. haha. so fun, i was jumping the whole night. High, HIGH energy from the man, for oh just 6 hours! Definitely the funnest night I have ever had at a club, by far.

1. PVD at summerstage. I mean pvd at central park, what a blast. The was so unique of an experience, with all the other TA's. It's raining like mad, were chugging merlot, and then the lasers and strobe light come on. Then I know vtec remembers this - PVD drops energize as those fucking clear beachballs appear out of nowhere and you can't even see the sky! ha, what a blast. It made this day perhaps my most memorable, but still I enjoyed the music better at Space. (Plus PVD kicked a beach ball off the stage and it hit me in the head. good times, good times)

So hard to decide. oh well, fun is fun i guess!!!!

Allright... but it's really just a different sound. I feel you though, I guess I don't dig all of his remixes... I correct myself, he is the mixmaster. Ferry and Tijs are the studio kings. And Brian... you suck. Ha. "25,000 people in this THRILLING dome, sold out weeks in advance..." Well, I guess that is a party to sell out Space for...

1. PVD @ Space 11-22-2003
what was that new tune he played for the very first time that absolutely killed the place? oh yeah... SECOND SUN - LOVE SIMULATOR!!!! best PVD set i've seen over the past year.

2. Markus Schulz @ Space 6-18-2004
owned Tiesto with his closing set from 5am - 8am, i wanted to go get some sleep but just couldn't tear myself away, tune after tune i ended up staying til they kicked us out. hanging in the booth with the M to the S at the end made it even better.

3. Tiesto @ Icon 6-23-2004
just when I was liking Tijs the least he comes to orlando and drops this phenomenal set. really couldn't ask for anything more other than "one more tune. one more tune" even the broken AC couldn't stop me from dancing!

4. Sander Kleinenberg @ Sensation White 2004
wasn't there, but after a few minutes watching the video feed, i wished i was! downloaded to the set and listen to it again and again, best set of Sensation even better than PVDs!! his set @ Space terrace for WMC and at Icon in April were very good as well. i've become quite a Sander fan this year.

5. Ferry @ Space 1-4-2004
Ferry's best i've seen over the past year (wasn't at the May show) very solid set, very fun night! Also another great set from Markus on this night to top it off.

Another close contenter would be Markus' second set at Mansion for Armada night WMC.
