Korg Electribe, Midi stuff..

So, I've been working like crazy this summer, saving up for a laptop, but now it turns out my dad is going to get me a laptop so I have a shIte-load of cash to spend well.. not exactly, most of it is going to the bank, hehe
But I was thninking of getting a Korg Electribe EM-1, it's on sale at my local music store, I don't have any hardware and I figured this is a good start. I really like the interface so maybe I can improve my drum programmnig skills (btw. I got a Delta 44 and a Midi I/O Port on my PC, running Cubase SX)

I want to use the electribe as a midi sequencer for my VST drum samplers. Is it possible to play a pattern on the electribe, connect the midi-out on to my PC and make it play samples in a VST sampler (Such as Battery)??

If I set it to keyboard mode, so that the 16 trigger buttons play notes like a keyboard, can I hook up to an external synth and use the Electribe as a *keyboard* ??

and Finally, can I output knob movement in real-time to Midi? Like use the knobs on the electribe to control VST plugins?

Please help me, and fast, cause the sale at the music store ends in 3 days

If it has MIDI out and has that "keyboard mode" you mention later on, then yes.

Same deal, if the knobs will also act as MIDI controllers then yes.

I know that the EMX-1 can send midi data from knobs, but I haven't found anything about the EM-1, so I can't be 100% certain And I don't spend money unless I know what I get for it

Can anyone confirm that the EM-1 can send *live* MIDI data from knobs, like the EMX-1 ???

I just know from the previous range of electribes that it had an own midi code so nothing like cc 74 = cutoff, you just had to record realtime.. so I really doubt it will serve as midi controller. It was never meant to do this anyway. Why not buy a keyboard with some midi faders & buttons.. ? You'll get much further than an electribe for this purpose. ( it has a huge sound)
