i dunno man, none of mine are warped to where it poses much of a problem besides a few pre-play bends the other way...people have said to heat them in an oven and then put them between two plates of glass, or leaving them out in the hot sun between two glass plates...but i've never heard of something everyone can agree on that works =/

Ya i've heard of the oven thing before but i value my records to much to start shoving them in the oven

Most of the warped records I get are from Virgin. For people that havn't shopped there all the records are brand new. You cant even listen to them so im confused as to why all the records are warped.

I find a safer alternative to the glass and heat option, is to place heavey books on the record and leave it for about a week.

you idiots
what do you think vinyl is made out of? VINYL! it will melt if you heat it!

just chuck your records in your record box (which you should have to stop warping in the first place) and pack them really tightly. theyll flatten out in reasonable time.

This definitely sounds like a better option than barry's... That's like a whole week you can't play the record cos its under books!

Is there another alternative for folks like me who haven't even half filled our record boxes yet? (I need more choons!)

Cool

i was told that vinyl was a thermoset plastic so it can't melt, but i wouldn't want to take the chance. i had 1 warped record, cygnus x -superstring which was bought from virgin, i just shoved it in with my dads old records somewhere in the middle, left it for a month or so, and it is flat as a pancake!

I put some heavy books on my warped 10 in 01 record and 2 days later it was good as new.
