best mp3 bitrate for FM Radio recordings?

have many live sets (original source was FM radio), at 192kbps, 100-200MB size.

Does anyone have their preference for quality decrease noticeable in FM radio recordings, converted from 192 > 160, or 192 > 128?

I'm considering converting them to VBR at 128-192 quality (using db power amp). mainly to save space, and to make more fit on a CD

tanx!
