Try using a Good Dynamic EQ, and set it to what you need. Its tough to get rid of it completly, u might even here a tick tick as the kick still, but if ur using it as a loop or sample in your track, If you eq it good enough you can barely here the difference. Also try a compressor, mess with the attack.

I usually just Fx the shit out of those types, and come out with some cool sounds..
