To all those who assumed Tiesto did his olympics gig for the money...
You can thank yourselves for yet another Tiesto thread. I'm not gonna name names, u know who u are...
Ppl specifically stated in the Olymipcs thread that Tiesto was gonna do it to make alot of money for the gig, and that he's all about the money. I didnt wanna get into the dicsussion too much then, but now that Tiesto has a new personal note up, you can see for yourself.

When Athoc (Athens Olympic Committee) asked me in October 2003 to play at the opening ceremony, I couldn’t believe it. I thought somebody was trying to fool me. When George and Maria (musical directors) came over to Holland and convinced me it was really true, I became really excited. I knew right away this would be a historical night for me, dance music and for the Olympics of course!
To set things straight, there was no budget for a DJ fee but hey, did I care? I was so honored and thrilled by the idea that I could play my music for 15.000 athletes, 70.000 people in the stadiums, hundreds of presidents from all over the world and over 4 billion people at home, that I didn’t have to think twice.

Dont assume things or make stuff up just because your dont like them. That goes for any DJ, and any person for that matter.
EDIT: I now see that starseacher did post it already in that other thread. I shoulda figured he'd already be on top of it haha. Well, maybe this way more ppl will see it  Sorry Starsearcher LOL
