Is age really just a number?
All my life i've looked down upon guys in their late teens or early twenties who dated girls a lot younger than them. I'm not talking 2-3 years difference here, but more like 5. Sometimes, i've downright hated them. But i'm sure we all know how much life enjoys laughing in our faces every so often. So get this. I'm almost 21 and i recently met this girl who i thought was around 22. She's got an great sense of style - young professional type with a touch of flare. Very active in sports, including tennis and volleyball, which are the two sports i'm mainly into. Highly intelligent and mature. Face as close to being perfect as you can get before you start to wonder if there was plastic surgery involved. She could probably pass for a 25-year-old if she really wanted to. And with all honestly, in my twenty one years on this planet, that's the second girl i've met that i could really see myself connecting with. But going back to what i said about life laughing at us. I just found out she's... 15. I kid you fucking not - my jaw dropped! And right now, i'm seriously just plain confused. Talk about a conflict of interest, huh? Am i seriously gonna tell this girl that i never wanna see her again just because she's got '1989' and not something more acceptable like '1986' written on her health card? I think i would really regret that. But on the other hand... dating a 15-year-old? Even though it's legal, most people (including myself?) would find it pretty immoral. But what kind of a loser would let fear of criticism stop him from doing what he wants? I've turned down girls countless times because of the age gap, which ironically enough, has always been even smaller than this. But right now, i'm stumped.
