How to make a sidechain using TC Bundle in Cubase SX for kick and bassline ?

here's what i tried :
i inserted the sidechainer plugin to kicks.
i inserted the compressor plugin to bassline.
i made on the key function in compressor.
but nothing changed.

Any ideas ?

Maybe send them in a group. insert sidechainer on kicks.
insert compressor in group. This is what i will try when i'll return home today....

I can't see anything wrong wit hwhat you do actually...

I use SX 2.0 nowdays (yeah it's true, finally moved over from reason) and I use it like this:

*put the sidechainer as an insert effect on the source for the sidechain (f.e. the kick)
*put the compressor on the sound you wan't to be compressed (f.e. the bassline)
*klick the key button on the compressor and voíla

ohh btw, have you tried to tweak around with the attack, delay, threshold and ratio? you won't notice any difference unless you play around with theese

I tried everything but there's no difference. I have the same sound with or without the sidechainer/compressor.

Trnc3 : Documentation i have done as it is written in the manual...

Josh, the sidechainer plugin is included in TC Native Bundle.
This plugin is programmed to work with the Deesser compressor included in the same bundle.

really weird that it aint working, have you tried reinstalling the package?

do you use cubase SX 1 or 2?

i'm using cubase sx 1.0... something.
i made the sidechaining with waves plugins "wave comp-sc" but the problem with this plugin is that you must convert the sound to mono.

yeah that's the only bad thing about the waves plugins really, they can't handle sidechaining good enough :/

well I havent tried the TC bundle with SX 1 so that can be the problem but to be honest I think it's something deeper than that. I mean SX 1 isn't that old.

i will try with two sidechainer on the kicks
and key 1-2 ON in the compressor...
