Citydreams - Snakeyes

An anthemy/melodic song with a nice, exotic sounding melody and nice chords.

This is my first song on TA, but this isn't my first song, just the first I like enough to post here. Don't be too harsh on me, I'm only 15 and not too great at producing.

You can listen without registering, but have to register to download.

Thanks a lot!

Really nice work!!! The only thing I can really comment on is the high pitched arp and main melody, repeats way too much for me, or just needs a little more variation. Which is funny because, that is the same complaint I get about my productions. Maybe after the small break near 6 mins you could layer up a little more. I'm listening on laptop speakers so I can't really say too much about the other qualities of the production.

Thanks! I'll look into a little less repetition, though if you notice, the second time it goes into "full blast" or whatever you want to call it, the string lead goes from playing single notes to playing chords (5:44).

Yeah, laptop speakers definitely didn't bring that out at all. Good luck with it!!!

Good work on this one. The production is actually quite good. The kick and bass work nicely together. The first lead synth is nice although I agree with the others that it repeats too often and could use a bit more variation. I certainly wish I could write like that at 15!

this is nice, altho it has been clipped to hell. lead synth sounds really cool, reminds me of the theme tune played at "the vampire ride" in chesignton world of adventures themepark in the UK!!!!! lol, production and mixing could be tighter, but the meldoy and ideas are really cool. it sounds like the bitrate is quite low, but i cant tell in this player lol. if it is then i take back what i said about the production quality as its probably simply due to the bitrate. that first lead that comes in i think could do with some reverb or so, it sounds quite flat and out of place, altho it should deffo be kept as its a really cool sound. sounds nice mate, touch it up and upload a 192

i like the bassline man. the lead is cool too but like mr. foyle said it needs some reverb. The kick seems a bit too soft or lacking of a punch. I can't really suggest anything cuz i'm still working on that kick myself. The arp is a little loud on the ears. THe melody is sounds really good. The synth selection is nice. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your comments and compliments!

About the bitrate: I have a very slow connection at home, so uploading things that are more than 128kbps takes a veeeerrry long time. I'll try getting one up sometime, though I'm kind of busy this week.

Repetition: Definately will look into it.

I'll work on the other things you said too. Keep those comments comming!
