Scratching

Ok I have a Vestax 275, will the mixer be tolerable to learn how to scratch with or not?

Yes it's fine.

All that you really need on a mixer is a nice crossfader, which the 275 has. Granted, it's not the greatest scratch mixer because the fader curve isn't as sharp as on a battle mixer, but it'll do just fine.

can you swap the x fader in the 275 for one with sharper curve?? coz all i use it for is scratching and the shallow curve is starting to be a bit limiting iykwim

i disagree this mixer is useless for scratching.

you can replace the x-fader, and i think you can even put an older PMC x-fader in its place. not sure on the curve difference though.

Curve is usually arranged with the electronics in the mixer itself, not in the fader.
