Formula Sound PM 90?

hey peeps. just owndering about this mixer, my cousen was telling me aobut it and i told him i had never heard of it, and he recomended it to me for a new mixer. has anyone come accross one before? and if dso was it acually any good? is it worth getting? because he said he can get me one cheap. cus i was debating on a pioneer djm600, a alen & heath xone 62 or a denon x1500 (which i was leaning towards) then he told me about this one.

so anyone had any experience with it? whats it like? any feedback would b helpfull thanks in advance.

I use a couple of forumla sound mixers, in fact i was using the FSM 600 This One last night and a couple of times last week

Not seen an FsM 90 though- but if its anything like the other forumla sounds it will do the job well, but may seem a bit boring.
Dont seem to be filled with advanced features like kill switches though, but the cross fader will probably be assignable/turn off-able and the eq kills wont be that good.
Every forumla sound i have used has split cue too/

Personally im not a huge fan- but they work well enough and everythings well laid out.

One thing to note however, they do distort in the headphones one you get to very high output levels (particuarly with spilt cue on) although this may be down to bad unity gain settings in the signal path of where i have used them ( not by me- i mean set up so you have to have max output on the mixer otherwise its too quiet)

They work well, just make sure you try before you buy to see if you like it

www.formula-sound.co.uk (doesnt list any fSm 90 )

I am not familiar with Formula Sound mixers.

However, a colleague of mine sells the PM-100. He was VERY impressed by the sound quality the mixer produces (it is expensive as hell too). Unfortunately I can't confirm this, FS mixers aren't really popular (maybe that's a shame, I don't know) so I don't see the reason for stocking them up.
