if you did not come up with it yet, you need a drum sampler. then you will load your samples in it, and then trigger them with midi notes. free ones are fxpansion dr005 and computer music sr202, and possibly some others i cannot remember right now. sr202 is pretty neat, buy a "computer music" magazine where you live and it is included on the cover cd. commercial ones commonly used here are native instruments' battery and fxpansion's dr008.
drum map is just a set of names for your drums, nothing else.

Shortcircuit IS a drum sampler.

Boomer, did you remember to set the correct MIDI channel?

those are the three things i think are most pertinent. Ive tried the manual and got no where last night. That was the first thing I tried obviously. ive also searched around a bit on google.


Maybe I should try another drum sampler? or maybe you can spot something wrong in those pics.

ok, now imagine i have it on chan 6 on both and I get nothing.

ok it hates any channel besides 1 I guess....6 wont work.



hhmmm, but now that I get sound out of it the bass drum will cut out every once in a while.....like every 5th beat er so for like 2 beats.

Change the loop type from forward to forward-shot or one-shot, I forget which one.
