Anyone else here like 29 palms (Pete Lorimer)? I think his remix work is awesome.
here are a few of my fave remixes:
karen lehner - nothing personal(29 palms remix)
seal - waiting for you (29 palms remix)
ashley simpson - pieces of me (29 palms remix)
conjure one - centre of the sun (29 palms remix)
He's not produced too much more but the above are great. What does everyone else think?

29 Palms - Touch the Sky was one of my favorites of 2002, particularly the Trash and Dash Mix

Finally a thread on this fantastic producer. Funnily enough I was thinking of creating one today. I love his remixes. They are much more varied in sound and of better production quality than most trance these days. I wish he'd do more as I haven't heard anything from him since his Ashlee Simpson remix back in August but quality is always better than quantity.
Favourites:
Cooler Kids - Morning Star (29 Palms Mix)
LeeAnn Rimes - Life Goes On (29 Palms Transgressive Mix)
Cirrus - Boomerang (29 Palms Remix)
Mach 747 - Invading Privately (29 Palms Mix)
Sun - One With You (29 Palms Mix)
29 Palms - Touch The Sky

lorimer has been consinstant in doing these mint remixes, i think his clubby house/trance sound that he does under the 29 palms moniker is warm & wonderful.
some of mi favs:
cirrus - boomerang (29 palms mix)
29 palms - touch the sky (lorimer chill mix) // the originals are nice but lorimer's chill mix is something special
gus gus - desire (29 palms mix)
narcotic thrust - i like it (29 palms dub)
jan johnston - am i on a pause (29 palms mix)
mach 747 - invading privately (29 palms mix)

I just listened to this track just now for the first time and...wow, great stuff. I agree that his stuff beats the shit out of some trance these days - its something different

I agree, he is brilliant. Have any of you guys heard of a tune called "Dark circles" by 29 palms. Paul Oakenfold played it on party 93.1 early 2003 and I thought it was fucking outstanding, apparently never released which is a shame.

10000000000% AGREED...Mach 747 - Invading Privately (29 Palms Mix) was one of the best vocal tracks of 2002 IMO!

I just recently got Appleton - Everything Eventually (29 Palms remix), which is kinda cheesy, but good enough for me.
I had heard his mix of Conjure One awhile ago, and didn't like how it stacked up to the original and Junkie mixes.
What really got me appreciating him was Pieces of Me, with that great breakdown, and then his remix of Seal, which is just awesome (when done correctly, pianos in a track just make a huge difference).
More people should remix Seal.
