I’m sure most of us will agree that it should be banned, if you don’t speak up! However, more pertinently, will it be banned?

tbh, it's cruel + unnecessary but it's gonna happen anyways so why ban it, this is just the social "elite" flexing their muscles showing that they could bring the country to a stop, yet you see whinging bags on tv that they got hit back by the police. this so far hasn't been nearly as violent as the poll tax riots or the mining strikes...

some shit that's happened up here...

Pro-hunt group claim pylon attack

A pro-hunt group has said it is responsible for an attack on an electricity pylon in Cumbria.
A determined effort had been made to saw through a leg of the structure in Grinsdale, according to police.

In a call to the BBC, a man claiming to be from the "Real Countryside Alliance" said it carried out the attack.

The group has previously been condemned by the Countryside Alliance, which stressed there is no link between the two organisations.

'Extreme danger'

The damage was discovered on Tuesday, but may have been carried out earlier in the week, according to Cumbria Police.

A force spokesman said the reckless nature of the act cannot be overstated and appealed for witnesses.

A banner was also displayed at the scene, threatening to bring down the pylon completely in protest against government plans to ban fox hunting.

Electricity engineers said there was no risk of the pylon collapsing or of the power supply being interrupted but the saboteurs had put themselves in extreme danger.

Distancing themselves from the similarly-named group, the Countryside Alliance previously issued a statement criticising the tactics it employed.

It said: "They are an affront to any responsible society which respects the rule of law.

"The misuse by these people of our name is an insult to the vast majority of our own membership, who have repeatedly demonstrated how responsible and peaceable they are in their own campaigning".

Same as that. It's barbaric and outdated. I think the ban on it was passed by a massive majority thankfully. Anyone defying the ban when it comes into effect should be treated like anyone else found guilty of cruely to animals, i.e. jailed in a lot of instances.

it makes me laugh that they are complaining about a bloody and bruised head. they should try being ripped apart by dogs.

yes foxes are vermin, and it is true that if we do not cull them in some way, they would die anyway because there simply isnt enough food around to go around, it's the same score with deer hunting. but however, bullets in the head are much less painful and cruel.

What really annoys me is how they've been comparing it to the miners strike or poll tax riots, when it's not nearly one thousandth of the significance of those protests. The Mail had 'civil war' on the front of today's paper.

Really.

I have never agreed with fox hunting or hare courseing, it's hardly a sport when u have one animal being hunted down by packs of dogs and twats with a bloodlust on horses.

check this link for some facts about fox hunting
