An oldie and heavily remixed track I know, but I love it and couldn't resist doing my own version :P

interesting almost lo-fi intro has a pretty good feel to it =)

builds into the stereo field quite nicely, but I would really like to see the bass drum get beefier sooner, tis a little tinny..

add a bit of swing to the main lead when it comes in, it's a nice sound, but a little too regular - what makes the original work is the slight swing to the main lead

your bassline and bassdrum need more beefy sounds, tis all treble at the moment, and thus has no real drive - just sounds really really weedy.

has some good elements matey, but when that breakbeat comes in, you can hear it's a loop cause it's so much better produced than your bassdrum

Shot yourself in the foot there. The Breakbeat is not a loop and uses exactly the same bass drum as the rest of the track!

Thanks for the comments

really? - strange it sounds completely different - what are you doing to master the track, cause something is making it sound a lot different - it's as if the main bassdrum is being played at a different pitch to the one used in the break...

as for shooting myself in the foot, I've nothing to gain by criticisng your track - just trying to help - the kick is weak in comparison to the rest of the track - and is being effected by the other elemets in the track. If you want to hear for yourself, just go to 5:46 in the track, listen for a bar, then whack winamp back to 0:56 and listen for a bar, the kick sounds a lot better at 5:46 imho.

I think this remix is not bad....but I think you can make the pads more deeper and I dont like the synth drum sound, the square synth can have more reverb, but good remix anyway....

OK I'll comment on what I hear cause I never heard the original...

Percs sound weird... I'd remove a bit of high end on the whole perc set... Kick should be down pitched a bit probably... Try EQing the pads a bit to add some warmness... They are a bit thin... Lacks layers when it kicks back in at 3:49 IMO...

The whole songs sounds too computerish for my liking. Keep in mind I don't know the original song so maybe it has that feeling at the base...

Peace,
Trancefered

Trancefered: You never heard of 'Out of the blue'? wow...interesting...

anyways, I just heard the remix...it's not bad of a production. But when the break hits, the melody sounds a little too strict and rigid, try varying the rhythm of the melody so that it's not so repetitive sounding...Just my opinion, like i said though, its not bad...

OK this ain't a blasphemy considering the fact that I've been listening to trance music for 2 months max.
