You know a sequel/remake is shitty when it makes the original movie look better, even when it's not amazing to begin with ie. Fast and the Furious, Triple X. Or remakes like the Amityville horror.

At least sequels for movies like Predator 2 weren't as horrible, although the original Predator kicked serious ass.

There are some movie remakes that are 10x better then the originals, This coming june is Spielberg's version of War Of The Worlds, Though it was mentioned that it's not a remake of the original 1953 version, But a modern day contemparary version of the original story set in the modern world, This version will feature those tripod war machines that were mentioned in the original HG Wells book, And not those boomerang spaceships that were used in the 1953 movie.
