New 'analog' Vst instruments to check out

Sorry for the spam guys, especially if you've seen it before !

press release

For fans of real analog synthesis who no longer own their beloved synths or prefer the convience of midi control, Analog to Digital have created the perfect solution at an incredibly low price.

The Reincarnation series is a set of sample based synths which have the authentic solid analog feel and allows the user to change the filter level with a keyboard mod wheel and select resonance levels. It can even recreate totally realistic glitch free analog filter sweeps.

Roland tb303, mc202 and juno 106 are available now with more to follow.

Features

As many as 99 samples per preset
36 different presets with their own samples
ADSR envelope Unison mode (up to 16 voices) with detune
Pitch bend, glide with mono mode, vibrato (with adjustable speed),

Effects: ring modulator, tempo synced double delay with filter and feedback and a digital filter (has low pass, high pass, band pass and notch modes) with cutoff and resonance controls.

In the purely digital domain, there is Supersaw Plus, a 16 voice polyphonic analog-modeled vst instrument synthesizer with an effects section (reverb, delay and chorus) . It is designed to create fat sounds very much like the classic Roland JP-8000 synth, particularly the supersaw. There are also square, triangle and pwm oscillators.

Major knobs on all synths can be controlled from midi and all come with comprehensive pdf manuals.

Introductory price of $20 (£11, 16 euros) per synth (normal price $25). All four synths for $50 !

Go to www.cd303.com for full details.

Contact [email protected] for information

cheers

Eric

Sounds interesting, but the price sounds too good to be true.

I'll jump on the bandwagon here, what did you use to make these?

Samples sounds good tho....

Hi there

Both the synths were made with synthedit, but it's really the samples that took the time to record, cut up, noise reduce and arrange into soundfont format and so forth About 150 or so were sold on ebay with great feedback and no complaints at all.

The supersaw is a digital synth, but it took a long time to get right and it does sound like a jp8000. I put the two of them side by side one night.

There is no trick involved, you can try the demos, The sample based synths have up to 50 different presets with unique samples.

Why so cheap, one word - piracy ! The bottom end of the market hardly exists.

I made these for myself because I wanted solid fast trance bass lines and this is the best way (apart from the real thing) in my opinion, The supersaw was done because there wasn't anything like it till Vanguard came along.

all the best

Eric

P.S.

I almost had a deal with Digital Village in the UK to put one in every computer they sold but they changed their minds :-(

What were you thinkin?

1) Sellin synths made by synth-edit sucks
2) WTF is that noise this VSTi makes? I mean you design a synth but you don’t have EARS to hear such a loud noise ur ******* instrument makes with every patch? Just set the ADSR to zero so you can hear the ***** this makes.

Bottom Line: You are one HELL of a looser.

Remember, it's not the one selling crap that's an idiot, it would be you if you bought it.

Just to clear things out: I haven't even heard the demos, so I can't judge the software. The word "crap" was only used to get my point clear towards Spolitta.

Sorry, it DOES make a noise when the envelope settings are zero. The reason is that the envelope attack is very fast for trance leads. You will notice that Vanguard by Refx ($80) does exactly the same.

That's why I did it, to get that sound.

It wasn't binoculars exactly, it was a digital camera and I sent it back because, well ..... just because .

What's wrong with binoculars anyway, train spotters use them all the time ???
