Airwave - Save Me (Ians Remix)

Did this over a year ago but it seems to be some of my best work, and since i'm pretty disillusioned with newer efforts, I thought I'd see what people here think to this and what it's like, had mixed reports so far with a couple of good producers liking it, but my mate says it's shite, so you lot are the judge

sorry i ain't keen on it! sounds bland and empty! you need to had more layers, fx and percussion! get rid of that snare (it sounds like something produced in the 80's) replace it with a clap - sounds much better! sorry to be so negative about the track - you have to be cruel to be kind!

nice at 56 seconds when the synth thing come in, then they disapear, then keep going again. i dont like it up until thaat point, with just the kick and bass and clap. it sounds very empty. 130 ish with those wierd toms i dont think works very well.. could do with some effects. that pad is also very bland, try some reverb on it. u also got alot of lo mid on that snappy synth, which doesnt get on well the the bassline, it clashes a bit. the pads sound almost gm, they defiantely need some reverb or something. im at the break beat now, its nice but quite simple. that synth going from left to right is annoying as hell, i would keep it in the middle. then that synth with the frequency envelope, think it dips too low, it sounds like the oscilation frequency drops as the filter does, so it sounds abit out of tune. the melody is pretty cool, i havnt heard the original. i think the atmosphere would be really nice if you worked a bit on the sounds and gave them some depth with reverb etc. at the mo it sounds like the sounds are all general midi! im also getting a bit tired of the repetativness, it doesnt vary much at all. 6:53, when it all goes quiet, that really is way too minimalistic, its got no atmosphere or drive going on. i think this needs alot of work, it sounds very bland and average at the mo, and i dont think the sounds sit together very well. One final thing, the track ends with just a kick? ooooh nowe cant have that, thats excruciatingly boring! also how long does it go on for? the kick, sounds like 16 bars, way too long. u need loads more elements i think man. keep at it
