think is , the topic you reply in - if they get replyed you can find it easily in that hack every time u log in and someone replys ... the topic is shown again...its much better than getting tons of emails about someone who replyed to a topic that you wrote in...

its a good idea. i just try and remember the threads i posted in and refind them, sometimes i forget tho.

its a nice idea, depends how much work is needed to impliment it.

its a good idea for threads but not for pms i do what coup does, and try to remember what threads i posted in... :P

In the left most column of every forum are icons associated with the thread to the right. The icons are orange if there are new posts and gray if there are no new posts since the last time you viewed the forum.

if i already posted in the thread there is a black dot in the middle of the icon. so i look for an icon with a black dot. now, i look to the right. if my name is there that means i'm the last person to post in that thread. if my name isn't there it means other people posted after me.

if the icon is orange and there's a dot in the middle of the icon and my name's not in the rightmost column, i know

1. I posted in that thread at some point
2. people posted in the thread after i did
3. i haven't read all the posts in the thread

it works. m0sh, your idea is great for small forums with like minimal activity but it would be far too great a drain on a site the size of ta. and its not needed.

it works great on a forum with 11,000 people which is very active...altho this hack I saw on a board that is not vbulltin

U often forget some threads u made or threads you replyed it...and somthing u just don't find them...so that's the cure
