Idea Open-mind - Out of sight [Trance] 128kbps

Good morning.
Here is a new melodic track. Starting with piano and some violins.
Build up is classic, but then, the main melody comes with a huge synth. The melody is a little bit sad. It could be liked by those who like Sensation, Armin, etc...

Open-mind - Out of sight

rename in mp3 and tell me if it's good.

I'll have a listen - the reason you are probably not getting many replies is that you don't tend to reviewother producers stuff taht much..

so - I'm expecting a review of my track from you in return - the link is in my sig.

secondly - get some hosting that allows you to provide a direct mp3 link - I don't like this re-naming business.

ok - here we go

I kind of like the piano - but the actually piano sound you have used is very GM - not as good as it could be (and it appears to have been played at a constant 127 velocity - try giving it some dynamics)

this is very JMJ meets trance at 2:00 or so, it's a little bass heavy - maybe do some EQing on the bassline

at 2:50 - make the bassline move with the piano - doesn't sound quite right with the bass sitting on on D - the intro is quite musical, the section from 2:50-3:45 isn't...

like the bit at 4:13 - the gated synth is nice god bless vanguard

some of your FX booms seem half a note too soon.

overall mix is a little bass heavy

bit at 5:05 is messy and muddy mainly due to this

could do with some production / structuring work.

has potential though

optik

for some strange reason - you have to download the file, and rename it to mp3

crazy.. but true

new mix of the track.
Better mastering: turned down the bass, turn up the high frequences.
Better velocity for the piano and i turned up the strings volume.
Same link for the d/l.

nice tune, i like it a lot.

is that a yamaha AN1x in your pix? I have one too.

Im tempted to get a cs6x as it has more uplifting sounds i feel for my sort or music.

So you rename the extensions just so you won't get banned? Hehe, that's a nice way to go around it

Anyway, it's a good tune. I think I've heard a similiar piano melody before, not exactly the same, just familiar. Did you get inspiration from somewhere? It's nice tho.

pretty cool, the main synth is distorting + killing the mix tho. you could definately do with some more percs, i really like the melody tho
