i've been there many times, my friend lives right across the street.
akkiboy was right on pretty much everything
the crowd is very erratic, but almost always very hipster
music is hippop/pop
the roof is a very nice place to go and chill and have some drinks with some friends
the staff is pretty nice and cool. (my friend who lives next door to the standered is good friends with almost all of them)
and yeah there is a big college crowd there every now and then (i can be counted as part of it)
you get corporate parties there every now and then.
i hear there is another standered on melrose. i've never been there so i can't speak for that one.
anyway, if your down town and you want a nice but expensive place to go chill, have drinks, have a decent enuf dinner, its cool. they make the drinks very well there. in fact i don't know of another place i've been to where i've gotten drunker on drinks that are the best i've tasted. but be careful those $10 bombay sapphire and tonics add up.
its a decent place to go to but its not the best place, there are alot of cooler places close by
