Heh. That was pretty funny.

Liquid, I'm just curious--with regards to the economy, what are your real expectations? What numbers would be acceptable for you? Our economy is currently growing at a quarterly rate of 3.3%, which is not exactly a poor number for a developed economy. Employment numbers are coming back and are stabilizing. It's not the go-go 90's anymore. Inflation is low, interest rates are still at near-historical lows, home ownership is at an all time high(I just bought a house myself). It's not exactly doomsday out there. But seriously, since opinions are largely based on statistics, what specific targets and economic statistics do you think are reasonable and appropriate?

Historically low interest rates arent an indicator of a strong economy. Politicians usually like to claim that they are, but in reality low interest rates indicate that the economy needs a kick start.

* got hired last month. +1 for US employment
* making good money from job, spending lots of it (since i moved to new city). my 'consumer spending' is way high.
* bought a new house
* secured a super low interest rate on mortgage

Well, I can only talk from the perspective of living in Florida ( Miami/Broward/Palm Beaches). It's not exactly doomsday, that's right, you could see dozens of constructions all over the beach here, with luxuru aps. going on sale, starting on the 1.2 millions and up.. it's not Manhattan, is just Sunny Isles and Aventura.. or .. plain Miami Beach. But there's the other side to it all.. job has down in an increasing way down here, my friends dad, who worked for Hewlett Packard, has been laid out, as one of the cuts they are doing.. and Im seen this happening to the dads of other friends, friends, and so on.. it's become a general, scary talk, as well trend.. it's not a coincidence, that's for sure. Things arent as bright as the president would like it to be seen ( or trys to ).. and Im myself having dificulty trying to find a better job.. nowadays, you just gotta b happy with the little that you get, is better then nothing.

As for Izzy, consider yourself lucky, and enjoy it.

edit.

We're sorry, but your score of -4100 is not sufficiently high to justify your imperialistic foreign adventure. You will be billed for this test, and you may take it again, by pressing the "Repeat Test" button below.
