London Trance Night ‘Knowwhere’ Announces It’s Latest Resident
With its highly successful move to London’s premiere venue, The Fridge, in May of 2004, and the addition of new resident Matt Darey the same month, Knowwhere has already made massive impact on the capital’s club scene this year.
As the promotion moves into its fourth year in October 2004, the Knowwhere team have added another top class DJ to their residents stable.
From November, Adam White takes his place alongside Anthony Dean and Matt Darey, giving Knowwhere an even stronger presence on the Trance scene.
Hailing from London and now living in Stoke On Trent, Adam White has been a recognised professional DJ for the past 10 years.
The recent years have seen Adam’s DJ’ing career excel to a highly professional level, resulting in regular bookings at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs including ‘Ministry Of Sound’, ‘Turnmills’, ‘Heaven’ and ‘The Fridge’ in London, ‘Groovejet’ in Miami, and ‘Bora Bora’, ‘El Divino’ and ‘Eden’ in Ibiza.
During his time performing, Adam (previously known as TheManAdam), has played alongside various highly acclaimed DJ’s such as Judge Jules, Brandon Block & Alex P, Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Dave Pearce and the legendary Paul Oakenfold.
Adam has spent the past 3 years touring with ‘Euphoria’, and has DJ’d at over 400 events to date in the UK and Europe. He has also worked as an A&R Consultant for Telstar Records. His ability to select appropriate compilation tracks has led to his involvement with the production of various ‘Euphoria’ albums, such as ‘The Best Of Euphoria’ which has gone on to become the best selling album in the series. Other albums of which Adam has had a high degree involvement include the compilation and mixing of ‘Total Euphoria’ selling in excess of 200,000 copies, and ‘Absolute Euphoria’ which entered the albums chart at Number 3 on it’s week of release.
Adam’s success led to the release of his own ‘Euphoria’ compilation released in Christmas of 2003 which entered the national album chart at number 8 and went onto be one of the biggest selling album in the series thus far.
Recently, Adam set up his own recording studio, and began his production career. His first release, ‘Reverence’ was Tiesto’s biggest record of 2003, and the opening track for all of his sets last summer. Adam also teamed up with Andy Moor to form Whiteroom, releasing their debut track ‘The White Room’ earlier this year, which has since become one of the records of the year, with support from almost every trance DJ on the planet. Adam’s latest track ‘Ballerina’ has been Armin Van Buuren’s ‘Tune of the Week’ and ‘Future Favourite,’ has seen solid support from Scott Bond and Matt Hardwick, and has gone on to become Mixmags Number one trance tune for November. He is currently remixing tracks by Airwave and Graham Gold. Alongside his production, he also finds time to run fellow Knowwhere resident Matt Darey’s new record label, ‘Darey Products’. Adam also recently started a fortnightly radio show for Ministry Of Sound alongside Matt.
To date, Adam has also mixed a double CD called ‘Rush,’ which is due to be released in Australia in the forthcoming month. Rush is one of Australia's leading trance radio shows, of which Adam is the only UK resident. Following the first album, he has now been asked to mix Volume 2, which he is compiling at the present time.
Things are looking busy for Adam over the forthcoming months, with loads of new tracks on the way, collaborations with Matt Darey, and Scott Bond being just a couple of the many reasons that Mixmag are tipping him to be massive in 2005.
"I am so pleased to be a part of the UK's newest trance experience. I'm really looking forward to bringing my sound to London's biggest trance night and playing with Matt and Anthony on a regular basis. Knowwhere is one of the friendliest parties I've ever DJ'd at and the team behind it are amongst the nicest in the industry." Adam White
"In my opinion Adam White is the UK’s new rising star in Trance with tracks like Reverence, White Room & Ballerina under his belt and years of working the club circuit as Euphoria DJ. It has always felt like Adam is part of Knowwhere and now he has joined us as resident DJ I'm really looking forward to some massive sets and crazy nights with the new kid on the block!!" Matt Darey
“Adam has been a big favourite of ours at Knowwhere for a long time, he’s long been one of the DJs we felt really knew how to deliver that special Knowwhere ‘feel’ to a performance. He was the obvious choice for us as our latest resident, we’re certain all the Knowwhere regulars will be as pleased as us to welcome him onto the team!” Stevie (KW Promoter)
Adam White will be appearing at Knowwhere on Friday November 19th, and Friday December 17th.
Knowwhere celebrates its Third Birthday at Knowwhere WeAre3 on Friday 15th of October.
