I've been thinking about when was the last time I went to a party and heard some really BAD-ASS beats? That was in April for the Decadance event, when Phil K stepped up in KH and absolutely tore the roof off Toronto has been getting a lot of good DJ's but they all kinda follow the same pattern in music. Dont get me wrong, I love all the DJ's comin' in here but we need a change. Somethin' more deeertier, nastier & darker. We need DJ's with basslines driving down through our throats I've seen DJ's like that and it was Phil K, Meat Katie & ofcourse the Tyrant duo. How about Phil K vs Meat Katie @ KH or Boa, w00000t! lol

thats what toronto needs...
oh yeah and more light shone on it's locals. Our local talent is some of the best in the world and doesnt get the respect it deserves.

System has local nights saturday night with Kenny Glasgow, Evil P & DJ Addy. Can't forget about the Zone. I know Evil P can lay it down with propa nasty beats but I'm not concerned about the locals, more internationally. Speaking of techno, Dave Clarke anyday!

Firstly, we've got some sick DJ's in Toronto. Guys who in my opinion are already local legands.
Mark O, Deko-ze, Kenny Glasgow, Evil P, Addy, Luke Fair and many more...
Now, regarding what 'fresh' talent we should pull to have brought here and face one another. These are some of the matchups i'd love to see (although i doubt with some of the ego's involved if they would ever spin against one another )
Lee Coombs vs Meat Katie
Phil K vs Kasey Taylor
Luke Chable vs Christian J
Hybrid vs Infusion
Quivver vs Blades --- or
Quivver vs Tilt (Parks n Wilson + Andy Moor)
Dave Seamen vs Nick Warren
Sasha vs Digweed ( Delta HEAVY !!! )
Paul van Dyk vs Armin van Buuren
Danny Tenaglia vs Tarrentalla & Redanka ( I saw these three heavyweights go up against each other a few years back -- simply AMAZING ! DATAR -- Nuff said )
Tiesto vs Anyone of Toronto's local hero's ( just so i can watch the expresssion on the face of TOTA kids when they see their god get demolished by the talent that the T.dot brings )

Some people would consider this sacrilegious. Quivver can hold his own no doubt, but putting him alone against the producers he used to tear it up with. Thats too much.
My all time battle of the heavyweights will always be:
John Digweed vs Danny Tenaglia.
The only 2 dj's in the world that can bring the energy to 11.
Other notables:
Quivver vs. Mara
James Zabiela vs Taylor

Quivver vs Tilt has been done before at Twilo a 4/5 yeas ago. I was there.
No harm in indulging in a little exercise for the sake of healthy competition if you ask me.
Danny vs Diggers -- sounds good, but they have such contrasting styles, that ultimately it would end up being a set where you'd have the prog heads going up against the house junkies...and instead of setting the stage for the worlds top exponents in their respective crafts it would degenerate into which is better...prog or house (not fair on either two in my opinion)
Still, if they went head to head...i'd definately want to be present, front and centre stage.
Danny T vs Steve Lawler
-- I believe they appeared on a double bill once for a 15 hour set...now that's something i'd love to have been at.
Danny vs Deepdish ( a few times at Vinyl back in the days when Deepdish was still relatively new --- ahhh, good times )

This is what Toronto exactly needs! T&R are definitely too underrated!

I think your wrong to assess each dj in this way... they are both so unbelievably versatile that they would adapt their styles and find a comfortable middle. I've heard both of them play sets at far ends of each spectrum.
