thanks sgtfoo
more and more im reading in to wildlife sound recording the more gutted im getting about my old shure mic " ok its was old manual method of zooming in but i got to know a few trick in long distant and isolateing sound's, i tryed looking for the same mic but i guess they was discontinued in the early 90s
time for change,
i seen a few akg shotgun mic's that seem to be strictly audio recording but anything that has a good range seems well expencive excess of £250, i seen a few make's that im pretty unsure on components used on the mic £80 <-- might sound like a telephone mic.
and most seem to make cheapo camera/corder len's and stuff, thats what's keeping me shy in buying..
if anyone out there goes out on recording trip's and has a good mic let me know what make or model so i can look in to it,
tryed and tested is the best method i think.
thanks
