Dunno Kurzweil K2000v3 Programming

First off does anyone here own a Kurzweil workstation. I have recently purchased a mint K2000v3 with a load of addons.

My problem is this. My manual explains how to manipulate the patches and samples which are already in my workstation but I want to start a new patch from scratch (hmm, a poet and I don't know it).

By this I mean starting off with say a basic sawtooth waveform then layering other waveforms on top of it then adjusting the envelope, adding fx etc etc like I do with some of my VST plugins but the Kurzweil manual dosen't explain how to do this or even mention patch creation and I can't figure out how to do it myself.

The manual does state that my "workstation is also a powerful synthesizer" but I can't figure it out and to top it off I don't even know how the V.A.S.T thing works or how to use it.

Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thanks for reading.
