I'm looking for a movie site that not only reviews movies but also will let me pick a specific actor and let me see the average movie rating of movies he's been in.

This doesnt show the average, but if you use the links on the left side of www.imdb.com you can sort the ratings of all the movies an actor/actress has been in(Filmographies > Sorted by Rating). And it also offers numerous links to reviews and scholarly sources on each film (if they exist).

www.darkhorizons.com is the best for news & trailers.

www.aintitcoolnews.com lags slightly behind darkhorizons & can sometimes post bullshit rumours.
