New Here, am I on the right track ?

Ok,

I am new here, hopefully I'm not breaking any protocol by posting my first message in this forum ! Anyway I'm looking for comments on :

"I Believe" @ Soundclick.com

I'm lwas hoping for a Psytrance sort of field but I'm not sure I'm in the right ballpark ?

Anyway, I hope someone at least enjoys it as much as I did making it...

Andy

Hey R2 project

First of all - nice intro - sets the tone

Some of the synth stabs sound out of sync

Maybe add a bit more bass

I don't know much about psytrance - not really my thing...

Sounded decent enough though - I like those sort of synth hits - the chord parts.
Actually its grown on me quite a bit!

Of course you can post your Psytrance here, I do so as well

The Beginning... interesting... swirling synths, the mad sample set the pace...
Then your beat coming in, I don't like it that much, it sounds too ..somewhat.. "empty", I don't know, did you use flangers on the Hihats? Try some compression on the hats.
your track is lacking a bassline, I recommend a deep 303.
The pitchbending, swirling synths in the background are interesting... some of the (well layered) arpeggiated/gated synths aren't that good, I'd recommend some LFO on the cutoff and maybe experiment a bit, they don't really sound professional...
Then to the end it's getting quite interesting... I see your track keeps evolving, you've got a lot of surprise moments, interesting ideas... but you should fix the technical matters... then you could go much further

let me guess... Inspiration: Hallucinogen?

If you found this helpful, It would be great if you could drop me a small comment on my psy track:

Talking INVADING HERE TOO?

Hey ANDYC!

Good to have you onboard! This is the place where you can REALLY get your tunes ripped apart BUT GOOD!

Loved the tune. I already critiqued it back at P5.com [don't mention that you use Project5 to make your stuff here...these guys are all Reason fans.]

Cybernetica,

You've got some good points there, basslines are a weak point of mine I need to do some work on. I'm not convinced about the beat on this piece either !

I'm downloading your track now, comments a little later.

DA
I'll invade anywhere ....
