Airbase goes progg (Update!)

Okay, so I pinched the bpm up a bit, and also rounded the track up, so its actually finished!

Use it, abuse it, share it, play it, the treat is on me. I dont know where to take tracks like this anyways, so might as well share it!

Okay, a little demo of a track I've been fiddeling with tonight.
Initially I was trying to do some techy benassi stuff mixed with real live drums and stuff. But after quite a few hours, I realised I had gone in a totally different direction.

This time, to make up for the last times sample quality mayhem, I publish the sample in full (6:20) in 160 kbps. Dont you dare to bitch about the quality now

those strange voice sounds are cool. i'm liking the low tempo of this.

wooo the piano finally came in got a real interesting feel to the piano melody. a bit different than what you normally hear, but refreshing to say the least.

all in all this is pretty hypnotic and trippy in a way.. mostly because of those voice type sounds and something that sounds like a door creaking over and over..

thanks for sharing

Really nice track, Jezper.
Different from what you produce ordinary, but why not?
(i also love prog)

However, i found the track a little bit too short. We could imagine a more longer track... about 9'00.
Well, that's just my opinion

It's different from your usual style Jez. I'll give it a few more listenings and then I'll come back. For now it sounds pretty scarry indeed, I like what you did with those vocals. Would love to hear some more melody, though. That piano is a great start!

Well, the intention is to keep down on melodies, and focus more on the atmosphere and mood.

superb track, mate! i love that bassline.. this will sound amazing in a club.

good breakdown too, sounds very full... maybe i'd add a dark choir there, to give it an even more eerie feel.. or maybe some gregorian chants, if you have them. would be awesome..

very nice work, more of that in the future please

Agreed here! What makes you want to do a Benassi-style anyway?

Hehe, i didnt mean i was gonna rip benassi of, I just meant like some weird dirty electro stuff.

I'll take a look at adding some chants or choirs, let me see what I can find
