exact same thing happened to me. couldnt get that taste out of my mouth. i think it is supposed to be non toxic, even though it says not to ingest it. i hope.

In regards to the glow sticks .... I broke one once and it melted some cds ..... that somehow doesn't make them sound safe ; to me at least
