Behavior of US troops in Iraq

Am I the only one to notice that for a while soldiers in Iraq have been pretty quiet, but now since Bush won his mandate they started attacking openly and taking over villages, showing on the news images more brutal and deadly then ever? Thats what I call plain hypocrisy... Why the hell did he have to wait so long if not to make sure he's re-elected before moving on? Isnt obvious that the guy has something to hide, that he knows he's not doing the right thing and just hopes that people wont realized it? I still cant believe the bastard managed to fool more then 50% of his people...

I just pray for those soldiers out there who had to wait about a year for nothing, who misse their family, who probably dont even know what they're fighting for, and who take the risk of getting killed every day, all for that a selfish prick who only cares about his damn elections..

It's obvious, no candidate would order his troops to attack a city where there may be possible US and civlian deaths right before an election. He got lucky that so far there have been much less deaths than I think were expected. It isn't fooling anyone, people have been talking about going into Fallujah for months, it's not like it was a surprise. Also I think part of it is they wanted to start the attack closer to the elections so it doesn't give the militants a chance to retake the city again.

Of course the guy cares about the elections, what do you expect him to care about? If he doesn't care about them then he doesn't get elected. Seems to me you are grasping at straws to find yet another reason to hate Bush when this would be common practice for any elected official to not upset the people who are voting for him.

..at all, believe me my hatred for the guy is well-founded.. what I meant is that he cares more about this that the sake of his own troops wich had to wait about a year before doing anything.. Even if they are fewer casualties then expected, just imagine how futile they were!

They could have attacked Fallujah looong ago, and I didnt say he tried to keep that as a secret, just that his reasons for waiting that long were purely egoist..

A lot of it I think was elections but a lot also was coincidence. Remember they first went to Fallujah in april, but instead of going in the city they sent in an iraqi brigade to solve the problem. They promptly defected. Their had to be a buildup of us forces before going into fallujah and this required getting british troops to take over in baghdad for the us forces that would eventually go to fallujah, this took over a month. I think going in the closest to the elections as possible is the best route, rather than earier. I think however if we finished what we started in april there wouldn't have been nearly as many civlian deaths from the militants as well as beheadings.

lol hurray for photoshop, and btw I dont need Moore or anybody to show me that Bush is a tyran thank you..

ask the families of those who got killed if they think their sons died for a good cause. Of course some really believe they are there for a good reason, these are the sames that get blinded by Bush's speechs and cant see whats really going on..

coincidence?? dude we are talking about almost a YEAR or war with very very little being done, and you think it's a coincidence that they JUST decided to move on.. all this BS about British troops is just a trick to gain some time, just like the reason they were sent there in the first place..

come on people, make some fucking sense already...

well had the fight in fallujah been unsuccessful and happened a month ago, the swing voters might have been affected more.

but... its happening now, and its going good, so its all good. RIP to all the good soldiers giving their lives for democracy and a safer USA. My Heroes!

I made my points, you took them for what you will, obviously no matter what I say or what facts I bring up will not convince you otherwise, the timetable in my opinion speaks for itself.

every soldier ive talked to overwhelmingly supported bush and had the same hatred for michael moore and kerry as u have for bush and blair. why is their cause not worth dying for? its not whether u think what you are doing is good for your personal benefit or not, its a soldiers duty to follow orders, and thereby serving their country, and that is worth dying for if its necessary.

The realism is behind the statements within the pictures not the pictures themselves.

Reality is not without a sense of irony.
